Not a 3 man job. 2 working 1 stood watching
To learn you must first watch. Don’t you want anyone to learn?
Great job lads
Good job lads. 👏
love your videos, keep doing the amazing work, good honest people. thank you for what you do.
Another incredible job Darren, the range of skills you have is impressive.
That is excellent progress with the brickwork. Kenneth will be an expert bricklayer in no time because you are an excellent teacher and Kenneth is very meticulous in his work.
I just discovered this channel. great content. I'm planning to build a garden holiday let. already done one from a log cabin kit. Now want to do a brick/block one. very good tips and advice here! thanks.
Thanks for this very useful and informative video which was really clearly explained. That's really good value for a 6x4m garden room, but I suppose there's the labour charge for you and your team which will bump it up. Can I ask roughly how long it took you from start to finish?
Hy l wont to bild garden ofis whit toilet end shaver whot is the max high from grand to roof l cen gol ?
them angle cuts🔥🔥🔥 📐📐🧱👌
thanks am a roofer for 49 years took on my first fibreglass roof repairs this week after watching your vid once again thanks
Great video thank you regarding the mixing and temperature, do you do enough then mix some more i assuming it depends on the outside temperature it that makes sense. Also who would you go to for supplies?
Just wondering why not poring just concrete instead lintel?
Well done Gason for keeping calm during that shaky period, really glad you got the drainage sorted, back to it now, and hopefully a smooth run forward. 🤜🏾. Dennis
If Ken takes onboard like he did with the plastering he would be a natural bricklayer 👍🏻good work lads
Mikey here, Hi Darren looking good, big dent in short space of time. Just got home from hospital now feeling a lot better now, Will contact you soon to link up to come see my yard for you guys to sort out for me 5* as always Best wishes Mikey
Great work, Darren! Hope you and the guys are slapping on the factor 50. 😅😅 Your build is coming along fast. Want me a plot that size for my retirement bungalow, built by you, of course! 😅😅🎉
So no need for the soak away now ?
coming alaong nicely, be carefull of yours guys and yourself cutting them bricks with no dust suppresion also risk HSE getting on your case
My heart goes out to the poor souls who are going to have to live in this rabbit hutch.
I was thinking the same thing 😅
Nice work guys.
Thrilled to see Kenneth learning the bricks. A skill I've always wanted to have a go at myself. It's a nice feeling to set someone off doing something they've never done before and watch their skillset grow as they get experience. I love showing family and friends how to work on their cars and do minor repair and help demystify in some ways another world to them
Question. Why do you use this type of bricks. I only know massive bricks. Whats the advantage of these bricks? Are they cheaper?
Ground floor flat looks tiny.
Gladly you noticed the mistake of the backdoor in time Darren. This is a double thing, making a video for us,but also a check on if everything is good.
Great to see you passing it forward to the young ones. I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering what is happening with THE COWBOY BUILD. Also the other renovation work. It's always good to see finished projects Darren😊
😊
Why do you break the foundations for sewer pipes, why not keep the concrete lower than the dpm by x amount to run the 110mm sewer /soil around under the hard-core fill
Nice to see you getting the young guys involved in the bricklaying
Coming along nicely Darren and the lads are learning, great stuff. Stay well.
When I was working on site a lot of the brickies used clamp on 'profiles' which they level and marked up for brick row heights and used 'corner blocks' for the string. You should deffo give it a try and it will double your workflow :)
company,s don't want to train youngsters anymore and send them to collage, it's cheaper to employ cheap foreign trade people. Now a lot of these foreign employees are going back home company,s are in the shit but that's their own fault I have no sympathy for them . I saw it coming and I spent 50 years in the construction industry.
Glad you managed to sort the drainage issue 👍🏾
Looking good, thanks for the video!
This must have been passed before the 150mm cavity reg came in if anyone is wondering…
There isn’t a reg for 150mm cavity. It’s a misunderstanding of the regs. 100mm cavity is allowedd
The insulation requirements are supposed to be sorted before any constructions begins by doing SAP calculations. 100mm cavities can be used, but 150mm cavities are safer. The main problem comes when you have rooms in the roof with Dormers and so on. There are no public thermal bridging details for junctions in loft rooms and all the default heat losses for these locations were doubled or tripled under the last reg's change. So, insulation elsewhere , such as the main external wall, has to be increased to compensate
@@darrenthebuilder Hi, on a side point, did you say there is a 140mm solid party wall? If so, you might want to check into that
Daz what is the reason for having no cavity at the front of the house?
Weather is being good for you working outside
Flying with the 🧱
The bay is not a cavity wall? Why is that out of interest? Also is the cavity you put in meeting current regs? It looks a bit narrow..
you can still use 100mm cavity if you use insulated plasterboard
Walls need to meet 0.18 W/m²K for new build dwellings. Brick & Thermalite Block build with plasterboard & Ecotherm Eco-Cavity 90mm Full-Fill Cavity meets the U value required, just need to ensure the 10mm airgap is maintained, comes down to good workmanship to achieve a 300mm wall that adheres to regs.
👍
Nice job guys, don't forget the air vents / bricks. 👍
Hard workers💪🏽
Great work.
Great build I am learning alot from you, just wondering how deep is your foundation,?
Great stuff!
Hi ! do you need planning permission for this type of conservatory? Thanks.
Job well done lads..I needed a cold beer after watching
OK. Now. Let's talk about the price
hi mate hard working.. how much did you pay for m3 if i may ask>?
Great Job! Thanks for sharng!🙂🤩
Is this a cold roof? As in insulation between joists with ventilation above? How do you overcome the interstitial condensation issue?
